From Patient Care to Government Contracts

I've spent more than two decades in healthcare, working my way up from hospital volunteer to CNA, LPN and RN. I've cared for patients at the bedside, led hospital teams and managed care at a health plan. I also help train the next generation of caregivers. On top of that, I run my own small businesses, so I know what it's like to juggle the work and the paperwork at the same time.

Nursing gave me the skills I use with every GovOp client:

• Assess before you act. Every good care plan starts with a careful assessment. So does every government contracting strategy.

• Get the details right. In healthcare, documentation and compliance aren't optional. Government contracting holds you to the same standard.

• Translate complex systems. I've spent years helping patients and families make sense of hospitals and insurance. Now I do the same with SAM.gov, certifications and federal buying rules.

• Coordinate the team. From the OR to the health plan, I've kept many moving parts on track and on deadline.

• Advocate. Nurses speak up for the people they serve. I do the same for small businesses that deserve a seat at the table.

Along the way, I saw how many capable businesses, especially in healthcare, never compete for government work. That's not because they can't do the work. It's because no one showed them the way in. The federal government has a goal of awarding 23% of its prime contract dollars to small businesses, and I built GovOp Consulting to help them claim their share.

As a full-service consulting firm, we don't just walk you through the process. We do the work for you:

• Identify where your business fits in the government market

• Handle your registrations and positioning

• Build your capability statement and messaging

• Find, qualify, and pursue the opportunities that match what you do best

You focus on caring for your clients and running your business. We'll handle every step of the way.
